Egg cleaning is a spiritual cleansing method that is a part of many ancient cultures, including indigenous Mesoamerican culture. It is believed that the eggs are energetically polarized and therefore draw negatively charged energy away from the body and to the egg. The uncooked egg will absorb not only the bad energies but also any blocked energy you may have. Because of the absorption of negative particles, the egg usually feels heavier after performing the ritual.

Ingredients

• 1 egg (make sure it’s at room temperature)
• 1 white candle
• 1 clear glass of water (make sure it’s at room temperature)
• Pinch of Salt

Steps to complete a successful egg cleanse

1. (Optional step) Cleanse your room with incense or crystals before you begin the egg cleanse. Feel free to use any method of cleansing you would like, including this egg cleanse

2. Light the white candle and make sure the flame will stay lit during the entirety of your egg cleanse

3. Hold the egg and connect with your spirit guides, ancestors, god, or the universe (whomever you wish). Then, say a prayer or state your intentions out loud. Here are some examples of what to say:

Cleanse me of the negative energies that are created by me or that are sent to me.

Cleanse my aura, my body, my mind and my soul.

Take my negative thoughts and attachments, spells or illnesses.. Everything that doesn’t serve me well.

4. Move the egg over your whole body starting from the top of your head while also staying focused on your intention. Try to visualize all of the negative energy being absorbed by the egg. As you do this, listen to your body. If some areas have more tension, make sure to stay there longer.

5. When you’re ready, break the egg into the clear glass of water.
